As the founder of Daisy Amour, I'm thrilled to celebrate Womanifest, a time to recognize and uplift the incredible contributions of women around the world. For me, Womanifest is more than just a celebration – it's a movement, a mindset, and a reminder of the power of women's empowerment.
Growing up, I often felt like I didn't fit in. Primary school was a haven, but secondary school was a different story. I faced bullying and criticism for being different, and it didn't stop at school. It was a challenging time, but it taught me the importance of self-acceptance and resilience.
Meeting my husband in 2001/2002 was a game-changer. He showed me that true happiness comes from being myself, unapologetically. This realisation sparked a journey of self-discovery and growth, which ultimately led to the creation of Daisy Amour in 2020.
Daisy Amour is more than just a brand – it's a mission to empower others to embrace their individuality. I design and create handmade accessories from funky fabrics, inspiring people to express their unique style without fear of judgment. Every piece is made with love, and I hope it sparks confidence in those who wear it.
The name "Daisy" comes from my husband's grandmother, an incredible woman who believed in me when I needed it most. "Amour" means love, and it's the love I put into every stitch, every design, and every piece that leaves my hands. I hope it brings a sprinkle of confidence to those who own one of my creations.
For me, Womanifest is about celebrating the strength and resilience of women. It's about embracing our differences and supporting each other on our journeys. At Daisy Amour, we're committed to creating a community that uplifts and inspires, where everyone can feel valued and heard.
As I reflect on my journey, I'm reminded of the importance of self-acceptance and self-love.
Womanifest is a celebration of women's empowerment, and I'm honoured to be part of it. At Daisy Amour, we'll continue to spread love, confidence, and unapologetic self-expression, one handmade piece at a time.
