Before we dive into the enchanting possibilities, let me introduce myself: I’m Tina, a busy mother of five with a multitude of passions. I work as a clairvoyant medium, holistic therapist, and crafter, including some witchy elements. One of my favorite creative outlets is making wreaths. Each month, I perform a ritual on the 1st to invite in positive and abundant energy. While contemplating my wreath, I thought of various ways to enhance its magical properties.
You can either create your own wreath or purchase one, and there are ways to elevate its energy using room sprays, essential oils, and crystals. Additionally, the color scheme you choose can attract different energies.

Here are a few ideas:**Herbal Infusion:** Incorporate fresh or dried herbs like rosemary, lavender, or sage into your wreath. These herbs not only add a fragrant touch but also carry protective and cleansing properties. This infusion of nature’s gifts can transform your wreath into a guardian of your home, weaving tranquility and protection into its very structure.
Crystal Accents: Adorn your wreath with small crystals such as amethyst for peace, citrine for abundance, or rose quartz for love. Secure them discreetly among the foliage or feature them prominently as a focal point. The energy of the crystals will resonate with the intentions you set, creating a harmonious aura that welcomes positivity.
Seasonal Themes: Align your wreath with the current season or upcoming celebrations. For autumn, use rich orange and red tones with mini pumpkins or pinecones. In winter, opt for whites, silvers, and blues with snowflakes or silver bells. Seasonal elements not only enhance the aesthetic appeal but also harmonize with the natural energies of the time, making the wreath a living, evolving talisman.
Charm and Symbols: Incorporate charms or symbols that hold personal meaning or connect to your spiritual beliefs. A small pentacle, a sun symbol, or even a moon phase charm can infuse your wreath with specific energies that resonate with your personal path.
Essential Oil Sprays: Use a spray bottle to mist your wreath with a blend of essential oils. Lavender and chamomile can invite calmness, while peppermint and lemon can invigorate and purify. A gentle spritz can refresh the wreath’s scent and reinforce your intended energy. By integrating these elements, your wreath becomes more than a decorative item—it becomes a beacon of intention and magic, welcoming all who enter your home with warmth and positive energy.
Diving a little deeper with few of my favourites
Rose Quartz: The lovely soft pink hue of rose quartz enhances love in all its forms. It aids in releasing negativity and fosters compassion.
Obsidian: This powerful crystal possesses a strong energy that absorbs and cleanses negative energy. Black crystals, in general, have the ability to repel or absorb negativity. Adding crystals to your wreath not only enhances its aesthetic appeal but also serves as a conduit for positive vibrations. Here are a few more crystals to consider:
Citrine: Known as the “Merchant's Stone,” citrine brings abundance and prosperity. Its sunny disposition can brighten your doorway and invite wealth and success into your home.
Amethyst: This beautiful purple crystal is renowned for its calming and protective qualities. It can help to create a serene and peaceful environment, making it a perfect addition to any wreath.
Clear Quartz: Often referred to as the “Master Healer,” clear quartz amplifies the energy of other crystals. It can enhance the overall energy of your wreath, making it even more powerful in attracting positive vibes. By thoughtfully incorporating these crystals, your wreath becomes a beacon of positive energy, greeting everyone who approaches your home with warmth and light.
To Infuse Your Intentions with Magical Energy
All of the above will create a wonderful energy, but if you're looking to go the extra mile, let’s explore a spell. Think of this as making a wish—much like blowing out the candles on a birthday cake or writing a wish list to Father Christmas. This is quite similar to spell work.
Here are two methods to try:
Paper Method: Write your wishes on small pieces of paper and place them in a cone or a tiny bottle. If you choose the cone method, be sure to secure it with twine or wax. There’s something charming about little wish bottles nestled within wreaths.
Bay Leaf Method: Write your wishes on bay leaves and incorporate them into your wreath. As you write your wishes, visualize what you desire; remember, your intentions hold great power.
Here’s a little chant for abundance:
“With light and love, this wish I send, May abundance flow and never end. By earth and sky, by sun and sea, As I will it, so mote it be.”
Repeat this chant while focusing on your intentions, feeling the warmth of the words envelop your spirit. Let the rhythm of the chant guide you into a meditative state, where your heart aligns with your desires. As you do so, imagine a golden light surrounding your wishes, infusing them with positivity and hope.
Once you’ve completed this, place your paper or bay leaves in a special spot, perhaps on your altar or within your wreath, allowing them to be a constant reminder of the energy you’ve set into motion. Trust in the process, and be open to the wonderful surprises the universe may have in store for you
